The Unique Blogger Award

Yet again, I was nominated for an award by none other than the magnificent Isabella, the owner of abookishbelle. Okay Isabella, now for once I have to nominate you first for an award! It’s on! Honestly though, thank you so much lovely. You’re such a sweetheart!

If you aren’t following her blog…click here! Right now! Do iiiit. You know you want to.

The Rules

  • Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you.
  • Answer the questions.
  • In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 8-13 people for the same award.
  • Ask them three questions.

The Questions

One. What is your favorite guilty pleasure read/tv show/movie? This can be that trashy romance novel you just can’t put down or the reality TV show you can’t help but love.

Oh boy, I’m not sure! Does the Walking Dead count? And when I say the Walking Dead, I mean I literally have re-watched the entire show 5 times already…and I’m working on the 6th time. It’s a thing. I did have a big thing for Pretty Little Liars, but now I’ve grown bored and only watch for this is the last season. I also had a thing for Once Upon a Time but now I’ve grown bored once again. I don’t know is Sense8 is considered a guilty pleasure, but I binge it ha-ha. Book wise, I don’t know if I have a guilty pleasure. I suppose it would be re-reading books, for I know I like them and have anxiety reading a book that will betray my feelings. Film wise, I watch certain films that I think are downright awful yet still have this need to re-watch them…I still question myself. For instance, my roommate and I watched Fifty Shades of Grey for I refuse to read the books but was very curious. We’ve now watched it twice, and we mock it the entire time yet continue to watch it. It really doesn’t make sense, but whichever.

Two. What is your favorite social media site and why? (facebook, instagram, snapchat, twitter, tumblr, ETC) And what has been your favorite book you’ve read that you heard about through blogging, booktube, bookstagram??

Oh, Instagram and Tumblr for sure! Twitter annoys me even though I do see reasons for its use, especially for book blogging. FaceBook is too much drama, so I spam the reader with cute animal videos when I’m tired of seeing sad or dramatic things. Snapchat is up there, but sometimes people take really inappropriate photos and I just don’t understand. For the most part, I find Tumblr and Instagram lacks the drama and simply has funny, beautiful and insightful posts. I’m huge into photography (okay, mines not that great – but I like looking at other photos) so that’s probably my bias there. The only thing that bothers me about Tumblr is I have random followers that are…very inappropriate…my block list is getting really long…Instagram gives me the least amount of problems, hands down.

Three. What is the one thing non-bookish that you absolutely cannot live without??

Music! I can’t live without music! I was totally a music geek growing up. I feel out of place when I don’t have music. I refuse to workout with music, I have a hard time focusing at work without music, and I most certainly hate driving when I have no music.

I have way too many bloggers that I’m following, so I’m going to only pick a few even though I think they all deserve this award. I’m sticking to just book bloggers this time, but you don’t have to from my knowledge. I tried to pick people who haven’t been nominated, but I may have picked people who have and I know I’m still missing a few people who haven’t (I’m so sorry!). I also tried to go for people who add an abundance of things: Instagram book posts, fun book tags, a little extra for the blog. For the Unique Blogger Award, I’m going to nominate:

Swetlana and Sandra @ reading through the nights, Bentley @ Book Bastion, Carrianne @ Cuppa ‘n Critiques, Flaneur @ The Jouska, Catherine @ Book Wonderland, Dee @ Novel Deelights, Taylor @ Taylor Reads Books, Sarah @ Sarah Withers Blogs, Melanie @ meltotheany, Lois @ My Midnight Musing, The Stalked Shelf, and Read Voraciously.

My Questions

  1. Do you prefer a single point of view or multiple points of view book series/standalone? Why?
  2. Where has been your favourite travelling destination so far? Tell us about it!
  3. You are a element bender from Avatar but you aren’t the avatar; what element do you bend and why?

This is a blog tag, so if you are someone who doesn’t enjoy doing blog tags then please simply ignore it. There’s no obligation to complete this! Just know you are appreciated! If you happen to do this, please let me know when you post; I would love to read what you wrote!

Happy Reading!
