Hello my fellow bookworms!
First and foremost, thank you Patty for nominating me for the Sunshine Blogger Award. It’s very sweet of you! Apparently, both Patty and I are new to the book blogging world! Her book reviews are wonderful; they aren’t over-the-top long posts and yet still hold a great deal of value for those interested in adding books to their TBR list. Not only is her book blog a wonderful read, she is a marvelous person herself. I have talked with her a few times through comments; she’s always so kind and thoroughly seems interested in your posts! I get worried people just click “like” and don’t actually read my reviews, so when I see her comments it makes me happy to know someone read it and liked what I had to say! Honestly, Patty receiving the Sunshine Blogger Award would be positively perfect!
Okay folks, let’s get started!

Patty’s Questions for Me
One. What famous person’s death has affected you the most, and why?
Robin Williams. It’s a surreal feeling, mourning someone so much when you have never met them before. But he just reached to people on such a fundamental way, tearing into your soul with his acting. My mom and I would watch quite a few of his films together. I remember the day I found out about his death; it felt like I lost a best friend. I remember asking my mom if it was weird I cried; she said she did too, since he was such a genuine and kind man. Not many people exist in our world like Robin Williams. It was a shame to lose such a wonderful person.
Two. Who is your favorite author, and why?
Kelley Armstrong. Yes, I know…I never stop talking about her it seems. I can’t help it! She’s the first person to come to mind. Her work is wonderful and unique; you can see the amount of research and effort she puts into making her stories outstanding.
Three. What book character is most like you, and why?
I actually did a Personality Book Tag recently which asks a similar question (this hasn’t been posted yet). With that in mind and my personal thoughts, I think I’m similar to Christoper Robin in Winnie-the-Pooh, Lucy Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia, and Chloe Saunders in the Darkest Powers trilogy.
Four. What destination would be on your bucket list? Explain.
Scotland and Hawaii. Scotland to learn about my ancestry and Hawaii because it just seems like a happy and fun place to be!
Five. Where is your favorite place to read, and why?
I can’t go to my favourite place anymore, but it used to be my high school library. There was this circular room where you could hide among the books. It was the most wonderful feeling. I also love reading anywhere near a body of water. I find water very calming and reassuring. Whether it’s the Muskoka’s or a beach, I will feel extremely happy.
Six. What movie adaption of a book do you like the most and which do you hate, and why?
The most would probably be the latest remake of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I thought it was wonderfully done, adding so much more to the story than the book had to offer (though I adore the novel). This was definitely noticeable in the fighting scenes and the final battle. The least is probably The Golden Compass. The movie made it so childish and didn’t reach the depth that the novel did. It was utterly disappointed, almost walking out of the theater. It’s unfortunate because I loved the cast and the acting; it was the demonstrating of the story that fell short. I also was not impressed with The Goblet of Fire; it felt like a romance rather than actually focusing on the Triwizard Tournament.
Seven. What is your favorite childhood memory?
Tricky. This one’s hard because I had such a big imagination that sometimes I can’t tell what are memories and what was make belief. I think my times up at the cottage are definitely up there, in addition to the days my brother and I would get to stay at my grandma’s house.
Eight. What extreme sport would you try, and why?
Either parkour or real rock climbing/bouldering. The amount of control you have to have over your body and it’s movements is intense, and I’m rather envious of that. Both also allows you to see the world in a different way when you reach these places. It’s also a surreal feeling, using your strength to climb higher and higher. I love the adrenaline when I climb high heights.
Nine. Why did you start your blog?
I think I mention why in my about page ha-ha. Basically, I love to talk about books and wanted to do more with my life than reading and then gaming. I wanted people to have a safe place to talk about their feelings and thoughts towards books, without worrying people will judge them. I also want to improve my reviews so I can one day be an amazing librarian.
Ten. What is your favorite food?
Smoothie bowls! I love smoothie bowls! They are so yummy, unique, and really pretty looking. I also love chocolate…the mention of chocolate right now makes me want to go buy chocolate – great.
Eleven. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
At first, my mind went to looks: skinnier, smaller face, not as high of cheekbones, slimmer legs…the normal. Now that I really sit and think about it, I wish I could change my confidence. I’m much better than I used to be, but I’m still so unwilling to try new things and I get so scared that I say the wrong things. My confidence has just never really been there. If I could, I would love to be able to simply be more confident in all aspects of life: talents, skill sets, looks, personality, life choices, etc.
Questions Patty Answered
One. Where were you when you realized what career you wanted to pursue? Explain.
I honestly was tired of being in retail business. I worked for auto part stores for 16 years. Then I was given an opportunity to work for a worldwide corporation and jumped on the band wagon. I have never been more happy.
Two. What age do you want to live to, and why?
I want to live till I’m well over a hundred. Because life is full of happiness and joy and I will never be ready to leave it behind.
Three. What book character most annoys you? Explain it.
Quinn from the Black Dagger Brotherhood Novels by J.R. Ward. His character is a real pain and he is always on the “it’s my way or no way kick”. Poor pitiful me, when things don’t go his way. He dwells on the past too much.
Four. What are your least and your most favorite of the 50 states? Explain.
My favorite states are all states with a coast line. I love the ocean and the serenity it brings. My least favorite states will be those in the North, since I hate cold weather and snow.
Five. Where do you go when you need to feel comfortable, and why?
I will go to my room. Because nothing is better than curling up under the covers and reading a good book.
Six. What book do you most want to see made into a movie? Explain.
The Charley Davidson Series By: Darynda Jones. Because not only are they exciting they are funny as hell! I would love to see Charley Grim Reaper at work on the big screen.
Seven. What is your favorite type of weather? Explain.
Summer – Less pollen count and more beach weather.
Eight. What past life do you wish you had, and why?
I never considered having a past life. Not sure, but maybe an ancient Egyptian Princess. I have always found Egypt to be fascinating.
Nine. Which president would you want to meet? Explain.
Benjamin Franklin – because he is a scientist who was a key leader in electricity. Where else would a/c come from.
Ten. How did you find out about WordPress? Details please…
I was walking with a friend one day and she suggested I start a blog. I checked online to compare and found wordpress.
Eleven. Where are you when you draft your blog posts? Explain!
At home or at work. Depends on when I have a review due or if I have something I think I want to share at the time.
