Top Ten Tuesday: Romance Books That I’ve Recently Added To My TBR List

Genre Theme Freebie: Romance Novels

Wow…I never thought the day would come where I began adding Romance novels to my TBR list. For years, I was adamant in my resolve to keep away from romantic stories. The thought of reading them was just unbearable, probably due to the stereotype going around in regards to romance novels when I was in high school. I was rather content staying with fantasy and supernatural books.

It was this year that I really began to give romance novels a chance. I’ve read a few before, but they typically bored me or were just horrendously unrealistic that I simply sped read the entire novel. The only ones I tended to enjoy were manga’s; I found the different story branches interesting, especially the deeper and more emotional issues.

Nevertheless, I was scanning through my TBR list and saw that it basically consists of children’s novels (what a shocker…), letters from classical figures, and romance novels. So let’s stick with romance novels! Also, I’m listing twelve books because the OCD in me is bothered by the fact that three rows will have three books, then one row will have one book…don’t ask.

Remember that you can find the weekly topics at The Broke and the Bookish page!

What romance novels have been added to your TBR list? Do you have a certain genre you’ve been overloading your TBR list with?

Happy Reading!

  1. I’ve been meaning to read the Summer of Chasing Mermaids for so long now. I loved the last Sarah Ockler book I read and I’ve heard nothing but wonderful things about this one. I read the Anna and the French Kiss series and for the most part I really enjoyed them. They won’t be my go-to romance reads but they’re still a lot of fun.
