The Unique Blogger Award Number Two

Hello beautiful people!

A while ago, I was nominated by abookishbelle for The Unique Blogger Award. Recently, I was nominated again by Yesha over at Books Teacup and Reviews! She has a wonderful blog, which I was very fortunate to discover! Not only is her blog fun to explore, but she is also a wonderful person herself! If you have a chance, please go over and see her blog!

Alrighty, let’s do this!

The Rules

  • Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you.
  • Answer the questions.
  • In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 8-13 people for the same award.
  • Ask them three questions.

The Questions

One. What type of content makes you read post without delay? and why? {discussion/ review/ interview/ blitz/ guest post/ any other (specify)} Also, mention a blogger whose posts you feel are irresistible.

Reviews. Flat out ha-ha! Especially ones on books that are currently on my TBR list! I love reading reviews, since everyone has such a unique way of reviewing! You could have 5 bloggers reviewing To Kill a Mockingbird and still have the reviews sound different, bringing up different points and general discussion.

There are SO many bloggers I follow…it’s ridiculous! I don’t want to choose bloggers who are irresistible since I really like a lot of bloggers…to the point I get anxiety because I don’t have time to read all the posts…so I’m going to mention some bloggers who were the first ones I started to follow and who have helped me become a better blogger simply by answering questions and being friendly: Book Bastion, BookBum, Too Much of a Book Nerd, Hot Shot Headlines, abookishbelle, and Moohnshine’s Corner!

Two. What in the book makes you blindly request/purchase the book (without even checking ratings/reviews)?

If it’s by Kelley Armstrong, Philip Pullman, Edgar Allan Poe, A.A. Milne or a classic children’s novel. I am also pretty bad for buying books with pretty covers…but I’m getting better at that.

Three. We all love blogging (that’s why we are here, obvious!) but is there something that annoys you about blogging/blogger?

Hmmm…good question. I wouldn’t technically say annoy, but I get frustrated with the fact that I can’t read all the posts everyone posts ha-ha! I’m dead serious; I actually have days specifically for reading posts so I don’t spend hours on here and actually get my own blogging done. I guess the other is when people ask you to follow them…sounds silly, but I just feel awkward being asked that…is that wrong??

My Questions

  1. What is your favourite Disney film and character (they don’t have to be from the same thing)? Why?
  2. How do you handle with your TBR list when it gets out of control?
  3. What is your favourite type of post to blog about?

Nominees

Okay…so this award has been out for a while. Typically, I check peoples’ sites to see if they’ve already been nominated, but life has been chaotic. So if you have already been nominated…

You are an awesome blogger!

I nominate:

BookBum | Egg Reader | Lost: Purple Quill | Inspiration Pie | meltingpotsandothercalamities | Too Much of a Book Nerd | Book Twins Reviews | The BiblioSanctum | Ashleigh Reads | FNM | Wonderfilled Reads | Rain and Fire Books | Nut Free Nerd | A Simply Enchanted Life | Whimsy Pages

Thank you all so much for reading! Please support the bloggers you see here by checking out their sites; I promise you won’t regret it!

Happy reading!

  1. Thanks for nominating me! I know what you mean about finding it hard to read all the blog posts…I follow a lot too. I try to keep up but really, it’s too much, plus keeping up with my own blog and reading and all the darn housework 😉

  2. I love reading reviews, too! But I mostly like reading reviews of books I’ve already read. I love seeing what other people have to say about them and it makes me feel like I can engage more in a conversation because I know what they’re talking about.

Thanks so much for nominating me! 🙂

    1. So weird! It might be one of your settings! I think there’s a setting that can cause you not to see them. In any case, you can go to your WP dashboard and see comments, click there, and then filter by ping 🙂 I sometimes miss them too >.> I can’t wait to read your post! Thank you for doing the post and you’re welcome for tagging you!

      1. Mine are enabled and I still don’t get them. 😦 My friend uses the exact same web template that I do and has the exact same settings and host and she gets hers. Makes no sense.

WordPress said I needed to contact my host. The host says I need to contact wordpress 😂

      2. That’s so weird…these are the reasons why I’m nervous to upgrade my site ha-ha! I want to get the business plan soon since I want to have other themes outside of WordPress, but I need to really research on hosting and costs…and stuff like this. I hope it gets solved!

      3. I host my friend and she gets hers. I don’t! Exact same template so it is just odd. Ive actually seen sime .com people say the same. So it is a strange conundrum.

I need to get my business part back up and running. My shop has been empty for so long but Ive just not had the time to devote to creating!
