52 Weeks of Gratitude Challenge [Week Thirty-Three]: Something You Look Forward To

There are an abundance of things I’m looking forward to, especially in the new year to come. Though 2017 had many ups and downs, I have a hunch that 2018 will be more highs than lows; my mom always says that if you have one rough year, the next year should have more positive outcomes.

So…what are some of the things I look forward to?

The Winter Holidays

Moving away from my family and friends has been a tad rough, making the holiday vacation even more phenomenal and appreciated. I’m one of THOSE who gets holiday fever: the Christmas Tree, giving gifts, sitting by the window and watching the snow, listening to Holiday music…the list is infinite. Having both the time and excuse to go see my family and friends is something I don’t take for granted whatsoever.

Wanderlust Times

The PLAN for 2018 is to travel a bit, since I finally have no CURRENT debts and want to take advantage of the time I have now. The first will be with my mom for her 50th birthday; I don’t know WHERE she plans to go, but I know it’ll be a blast. The second is with my close friend and old roommate Jenn, with hopefully the addition of Rebecca and Alicia. Whether it’s a cottage for a week or backpacking the Netherlands (that’s a big one on our list), I honestly just want the excuse to travel to unexplored places with some amazing and wonderful friends.

The Big Wedding

One of my most cherished and closest friends is getting married next year, and THIS lucky lady gets to be apart of it! I was asked to be in her wedding party last year, and I can’t wait to celebrate such a special day with her. We’ve picked our dresses and shoes, made choices on hair and make up. Now I’m just eagerly waiting for May 2018 to roll around.

Yoga Achievements and Fitness

Yoga is something I love JUST as much as books…which is saying something. With the help of physio, I’m hoping to possibly work towards my yoga instructors once my shoulder and wrist have healed. Even if I can’t, my goal is to grow stronger and wise in yoga, and to work on some fun moves with Jenn!

Family Growth

One of the exciting things about growing up is seeing how friends and family members are starting their new lives. Lucky for me, I know TWO people whose family is about to grow even larger…baby time! I can’t wait to see the new addition to their families and to spoil the little munchkins rotten!

The Unknown

Though I have MAJOR anxiety issues, I do find the unknown can also be blissful and magical. The unknown joys I will get to experience make me giddy and cheerful.

That’s it for this week folks! What are some things you are looking forward to?
