52 Weeks of Gratitude Challenge [Week Forty-Three]: A Mentor / Teacher

Hello bookworms (and non-bookworms…all are welcome)!

First week back to work is almost done! As much as I love holidays, there’s something nice about getting back into a routine. Unfortunately, I’ve sick for most of this week, so getting back into book reading and maintaining this blog and reading other blogs has gone astray…next week!

During the early period of this challenge, I did a post on my mom for the “A Family Member” post prompt. I know, it’s kind of cheating…but she’s probably the best mentor and teacher I’ve had in life. Since it took me a while to write the last post, I’m just going to link it here for you to read if you’d like and haven’t yet. Click!

There’s one other mentor/teacher I should mention, and that’s my Grade 12 English teacher Mrs. Fergus (a.k.a. Fergie Ferg). If it wasn’t for her, I don’t think I would’ve ended up in librarianship. She’s just one of those people who makes the classroom a fun place to learn and brings this euphoric feeling into the lessons. Learning about literature and grammar (though my grammar still needs work…) was always fun for me, but it was a completely different experiences with her. I learned a lot from Mrs. Fergus, and I hope to one day go back to my high school and thank her.

Who’s someone you consider a mentor or teacher?

Happy Reading!
