OwlCrate December 2017 Unboxing: Seize the Day

Hello beautiful people!

It’s a TAD late…okay, it’s a really late post…but I’m finally posting about the OwlCrate December 2017 box subscription. Being away for the holidays, I didn’t get to open up the OwlCrate until after the holidays, to which I eventually forgot to post about…woopsie.

The theme for December 2017 was Seize the Day. From Harry Potter to Percy Jackson, the fun themes regarding items in this OwlCrate are fantastic!

Is it sad that I still get SUPER excited to open up the OwlCrate box? Seeing the package in the mailbox and opening up to see the little pamphlet just makes me giggle with joy…oh yes folks…I have no life and I’m easily amused.

And my fancy photo skills strike again! I always find it so difficult to fit everything in the photo AND have the photo look great. The skills will come, slowly but surely. The items that come in the box are:

The candle smells heavenly; it’s a sweet, fruity smell and has these beautiful blue sparkles layered on top. The Owl Planner and Book Log is, literally, the most adorable thing ever – it’s every book bloggers dream! Not only does it have weekly log pages to write your schedule down, but it also has book log section to track your reads each month…pretty fantastic.

You know when you buy a magnet and it absolutely sucks? No worries here, my friends! The magnet is not only super cute but it actually works well…bonus! The ornament (…which I originally thought was a large bookmark…) is so intricately detailed and something you could use not only for the Christmas tree but just as a general decor piece in general.

The bookmark is double sided, with each side having a different quote from two different books:

“If you’re going to live, you might as well do painful, brave, and beautiful things.” – The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner

“And in that moment, I swear we were infinite.” – The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

Additionally, my tote collection is slowly growing, which is never a bad thing! The Harry Potter quote’s from Ron Weasley: “Don’t let the muggles get you down”…seriously, how cute is that?!

The book, Foolish Hearts, is a YA contemporary romance by vlogger and author Emma Mills. This novel explores friendship, love and developing ones “self” through the adventures that occur in a high school production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. I’ve only skimmed the first page, but the language and flow of the book’s already pulling me in! I’ve never read anything by Mill’s before, but I’m rather eager to begin!

Hopefully this post was as good or better than the first one; the layout’s still rough and I want to add more photos next time.

Did any of you receive this box? What are your thoughts?

Happy Reading!

    1. Isn’t it?!?! I love the colour and the quote! Overall, i think it’s worth it. You get quite a bit and it’s worth more than what you would pay normally. What you can do is purchase a 1 month and see if you even like it. They also allow the option to skip months if you’re on a monthly basis. There’s better deals if you do a 3 month or 6 month deal. You can also look at the previous months and order them or just see the kinds of things you’d get!! I thought I was going to only do 3 months…but I got hooked 😅
