The Unique Blogger Award Number Four

Hello beautiful people!

…can I just say how wonderful you people are?! Seriously, receiving blogger awards or being pinged back for a fun tag makes me realize the number of great people I’ve been lucky to have met simply through choosing to start a book blog. So, thank you.

Laura @ The Girl With All The Books nominated me for the Unique Blogger Award sometime at the end of August. This is my fourth nomination, which is pretty cool in my opinion. Laura has a wonderful blog with truly insightful posts, especially her book reviews! Please go visit her site and give it some love!

The Rules

  • Display the award.
  • Thank the person who nominated you, post a link to their blog.
  • Answer the questions they’ve written for you.
  • Nominate 8-13 bloggers and give them three questions in the spirit of sharing love and solidarity within our blogging family!

Question One.

Who is your biggest fictional crush?

Hmmm…I know I’ve answered this before but I can’t remember! Fred Weasley from Harry Potter definitely up there; he’s super sweet but still gets into trouble like his brother, George (…let’s not discuss George’s fate…). I also remember loving Peeta from The Hunger Games, though everyone else seems to have a hate on for him ha-ha! His views on the world may have been naive, but I loved that trait about him.

Question Two.

What is one of your favourite book covers (post a picture if you can)?

I tend to like anything minimalist but with something “sharp” that makes the book stand out. The OwlCrate special edition of Sky in the Deep is just stunning! The bit of gold being reflected in the hair and her sharp gaze (though only showing half of her face) is just striking. The original cover is nice too, but I love how this is a little more subtle yet still just beautiful.

Question Three.

What is your favourite quote from a book you’ve read?

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

From William Ernest Henley’s Invictus

  1. Congratulations on your nomination! I completely agree about Peeta too, he’s one of the sweetest characters ever and I don’t understand how anyone could dislike him. Thank you so much for tagging me! This is actually the first time I’ve being tagged in anything so I can’t wait to do it.

    1. Thank you so much! Peeta is so adorable. I think people were turned off by the fact he IS too kind that it’s borderline naive…but I don’t think so ha-ha. He also gets cray cray in the final book but that’s not his fault…

And of course!! I’m shocked since you have a wonderful blog! Well, here’s to being nominated many more times, for you deserve it! ❤
