Hey beautiful people!
Oh my goodness … Laura … we really ARE playing tag with tags!! I think I just tagged you in a bunch … be ready!!! Thank you again Laura Beth @ Hot Shot Headlines for tagging me in the What’s On Your Heart tag.
I think this is a tag that changes theme, because the site of the original creators (see below) says the theme is What’s On Your Heart. So I’m not sure EXACTLY how it works … but yeah, that’s the theme the rule is referring to!

What’s On Your Heart, Jenna?
Well … that’s a BIG question! I suppose how excited I am to see some blue sky, meaning that Spring is just around the corner! I’m also incredibly blessed to have a mother as wonderful as mine, who’s coming to visit me (even though her health isn’t the best right now) just so I don’t spend my birthday alone. I’m also so grateful to have wonderful friends who help get me out of the house and explore life rather than hiding inside all the time.
One. Do you believe in love at first sight?
Nope. I believe in physical attraction at first sight, but how can you love someone without knowing them?
I sound like a pessimist, but I promise I’m not …
Two. Do you believe in soulmates?
Hmmm … maybe? I don’t think there’s such a thing as ONE person for every person in the world. I believe you can have more than one soulmate or more than one person who’s VERY compatible in comparison to other personalities.
Wow … I’m such the romantic …
Three. What’s the first thing you notice about a person?
Two things: eyes and laughter. There’s something about a person eyes that says a lot about them in my personal opinion; how much weight they carry, how they feel, where they’re at right now, etc. Laughter is also a big thing for me, especially a laugh that I find contagious.
Four. What’s your ideal date?
I’m pretending this question is with someone I know well, trust and have been steady with for some time now. In THAT regard, something outdoors and exploring a new place or new part of town — hiking, kayaking, rollerblading, walking around an exciting part of town that has vendors and lots of things to see. I like seeing the world, but it can be much more fun with someone. Then possibly going for dinner or dessert — or both! But not a fancy restaurant — something FUN and where I can feel like myself (I get awkward at fancy places ha-ha).
Five. What traits do you look for in a friend and/or significant others?
Trustworthy, honestly, respect, silliness and laughter, a calm nature, someone who cares for others and the planet, an animal lover, a person who likes to talk about deeper things and the silly stuff, and someone a little more extroverted than I am so I don’t hide away all the time (but not too extroverted).
Six. What are your thoughts on friends with an ex?
I’ve had two boyfriends in my life. The first one and I don’t talk much, but that’s not because of us breaking up. All the high school friends kind of drifted apart — but I still care deeply for him.
The second boyfriend was my first serious one, and my long time best friend. It was hard, because I ended it and I felt like an awful person. But we eventually reconciled and we talk every so often (again, life gets in the way and I don’t live near any of my old friends or my family). I would do anything for him, and I think he feels the same about me.
Honestly, it depends on the situation. For me, both of my exes weren’t bad people at all — we just didn’t fit together anymore.
Seven. If you’re a believer, when did you give your heart to the Lord? If not, what in life keeps a bounce in your step?
I used to believe in God and everything in the Bible, but my beliefs changed as I grew older. I think it’s lovely to see how much faith people can place in God or other religions — but I guess it just isn’t for me. I’m definitely a spiritual person — I believe in the concept of the soul (or something like that) and I believe in something greater than ourselves that we can’t explain — just not a specific religion.
What keeps a bounce in my step? Life and the people within it. I’ve been blessed with two beautiful parents and an awesome (yet annoying) brother (ooo and the puppies). I’m surrounded by people who care for me, even when I forget to text back … a lot. I’m about to become a guardian to my best friends unborn but soon arriving daughter. I live in a world where I see magic everyday — from the stars in the sky to sunsets and sunrises, to seeing blue skies and adorable animals just exploring life. It’s unfortunate that not everyone has been as blessed as I’ve been, and I used to feel guilty and like shit all the time about that. But now I realize it’s okay to be happy about these things, and I can slowly but surely help others have this kind of life as well.
