The Birthday Book Tag || Tags & Awards

Hey beautiful people! Guess what?! This book worm has JUST turned 28-years-old!

Sofii @ A Book. A Thought. posted the Birthday Book Tag last month for her birthday and I just thought it was the most adorable thing.

So I thought to myself … why not post this on MY birthday?!

And here we are. Sofii is also a wonderful and adorable human being with an epic blog — so make sure to check it out. And check out the original YouTube post for this tag.

It’s weird — so many of my friends are getting bummed out because we’re all almost 30 — but WE’RE STILL SO YOUNG! I’m loving it! Life is great! Seriously, I feel blessed to have had so many wonderful experiences over the past 28 years of my life.

I have to agree with Sofii — wouldn’t it be FLIPPIN’ FANTASTIC if we could all get together and have one big party?! Honestly, I read about how a number of you go to Book Cons and other events, and I’m always curious if we would meet and how it would go. This community has been my safe place for the past two years … and I’m incredibly grateful to all of you. You’re all such lovely human beings, and make me feel all warm and squishy inside.

Okay … sappy stuff over … QUESTION TIME!

The Questions

  1. Count your birth day along your bookshelf and then subtract your birth month. What book does it land on?
  2. If you could spend your birthday with any fictional character who would it be and why?
  3. Find a book that takes place in the season you were born in.
  4. Find a book that is the color of your birth stone.
  5. Is their a series with the same number of books as your age? If so what is it?
  6. Pick a book set in a time period, world or country you would like to have been born in.

Still haven’t read this yet — REALLY need to get on that ha-ha!

If you could spend your birthday with any fictional character who would it be and why?

I have to agree with Sofii on this one … partying up with the High Warlock? Definitely happening! He’s super adorable, charming, funny, will make sure you have a great time … AND THE GUY CAN PERFORM MAGIC! We could travel all around the world, rock some music jams, and party it up!

Find a book that takes place in the season you were born in

Jenny Han’s P.S. I Still Love You TECHNICALLY takes place during the seasons of Winter and Spring … so yes, this counts. And it’s actually a pretty cute series, so you should give it a go.

Find a book that is the color of your birth stone

I LOVE the March birthstone, which is aquamarine; it ranges from light to medium colours of blue. This cover doesn’t necessarily do justice — but I tried. Funny enough, my favourite colour is blue (especially Sky Blue).

Oh … and I JUST found out a month ago (when I typed this up) that March has TWO birthstones … since when is that a thing?! Has that always been a thing?! Anyways, the other one is bloodstone — it’s kinda like a deep green with red spots in it. I was rather shocked that I found a book cover that ACTUALLY reflects the colour of the birthstone!

Is their a series with the same number of books as your age? If so, what is it?

Okay … I couldn’t find one with EXACTLY 28 books, but here’s a list of series that are SUPER long — seriously, some of these have 30+ books in the series.

Pick a book set in a time period, world or country you would like to have been born in

It was either Hogwarts and the magical world of the Harry Potter series, or New Zealand … I picked the magical one. To this day, I still dream of receiving a VERY delayed letter to attend Hogwarts.

    1. Thank you, love!! I had an epic day! Lots of yummy good and got to go see Captain Marvel, which was pretty good! Oh … he is BY FAR the best character. I honestly don’t care too much for the other characters ha-ha!! I stopped reading the series after finishing it when it was just a trilogy … I loved the trilogy, but never got into reading all the books. And now it’s too overwhelming ha-ha!
