Two Truths & A Lie || Tags & Awards

Hey beautiful people!

Thank you Laura Beth @ Hot Shot Headlines for nominating me in the Two Truths & A Lie tag — super fun tag but took me FOREVER to come up with ideas ha-ha!

Already folks, lets get it done!

How To Participate

  • Create a post with your two bookish truths and one bookish lie – but be sure to keep it a secret so your readers can guess!
  • Reveal the lie in a spoiler at the bottom of your post (you can use this HTML code! Just change the “S” in Summary to a lowercase).
Reveal the lie

Voila!

Two Truths & A Lie

  1. I’ve deliberating not read the last pages of a book because I knew the ending and didn’t like it.
  2. I got out of paying for a damaged book from the library.
  3. I’ve never dog eared a page to bookmark a page.

And the answer is …

*drum roll*

#1. Even though I didn’t want to, I actually did end up reading the end. The main one was The Road … I really didn’t want to finish it. However, I DO pretend there are different endings!

    1. Of course!! I had a feeling you’d enjoy this one 🙂 ❤ I deliberately put that one because I had a feeling people would guess that he-he. Yup — I'm one of those people that can't dog ear a page.

I have DNF'd but it was out of boredom, not because the ending was spoiled. Those books that have been spoiled … I say I'm not going to finish it … but I do … I don't necessarily read the WHOLE thing thoroughly, but I will definitely skim and read the last page … my curiosity will be the end of me one day

    1. Aweeeeeeeeeee! That’s okay. I picked some tricky ones and used SPECIAL wording to fool you all 😘

Number three is a good guess, since I’m practically anti dog earring pages. However, I may have done it out of desperation in my youth … so it COULD be a lie …

Of course! I can’t wait to see your post! I’m not usually good at guessing these kinds of things, but I still love trying to figure it out and to get to know more people!

    1. Lol!! Well with number 2, my brother damaged my book (he has autism on a severe level, so not really his fault), so I told the librarians and they were all okay about it ha-ha!

Number 1 … I played around with the wording to make it tricky he-he! Even the ones I was upset about … i would still sneak to the end of the book. I HAD TO KNOW!

Number 3 … yea … I’m a little OCD that way. My FRIENDS have done that too my books … ugh . Technically it could be a lie, because I can’t remember from when I was younger … 😛

      1. That’s why you should never lend your books to anyone!
(I’m always afraid to talk to people about books, and how much I love books and how many I have, because then they ask to borrow… Ofc, I’m not going to say “no”, but on the inside I’m screaming “noooooooooo”) 😀

      2. I know … I’m slowly learning my lesson. The only people I lend to are my mom, my dad, and my two really good friends who are as OCD about their books as I am lol.

Oh my gosh … me too!!! I’m always thinking in my head, ” dude … if I wanted to offer, I would’ve” lol! I feel so mean but they are my treasures!!

  1. Ok, I guessed three, and got it wrong 😅

I’ve done #1 with shows/movies. I refuse to watch Infinity War (or Endgame). I avoided the last episode of Season 12 (I think it’s 12) of Supernatural for the death of a favourite character, for over a year. Never done so with books that I can recall. I’ve dogeared textbooks for sure! Never had to deal with the library issue, but that’s great😆

    1. LOL! That’s okay 😀 I said to some others, I think that may also actually be a lie, because I can’t remember from when I was a kid 😅

Oh … I know which Supernatural character you’re talking about … yeah … I wasn’t prepared for that AT ALL! I have definitely done that with movies as well … but with books, I always end up at least skimming the end … ugh!

    2. Oh … and the library one was kind of funny but not ha-ha! My brother has autism and went through a ripping up my books and other items phase (sensory thing) … so he got his hands on my book when I left it for like 2 seconds … so my mom said to use the “brother has autism” card and it worked 😅😅😅 It’s not his fault, but I was SO mad at him lol!
