Hello beautiful people!
So … I fell a LITTLE behind this month in my reading since I decided to re-watch ALL the Marvel films before seeing End Game … oh yes, I have mad skills! There are 21 films in the Marvel universe, excluding End Game.
After seeing the film … I did enjoy it! It’s not my favourite Marvel film, but it’s still good! There are a few things that bothered me, but after watching some YouTubers explain the ending, I now feel content.
FYI … bring tissue and don’t wear make up. That’s all I will say on the matter, since I don’t want to spoil it for you all.
The Reckoning (Book Three) by Kelley Armstrong
Rating:
Synopsis: “Chloe Saunders is fifteen and would love to be normal. Unfortunately, Chloe happens to be a genetically engineered necromancer who can raise the dead without even trying. She and her equally gifted (or should that be ‘cursed’?) friends are now running for their lives from the evil corporation that created them. As if that’s not enough, Chloe is struggling with her feelings for Simon, a sweet-tempered sorcerer, and his brother Derek, a not so sweet-tempered werewolf. And she has a horrible feeling she’s leaning towards the werewolf…”
For the Blood is the Life by Joe Albanese
Rating:
Synopsis: “Evan Summers is a detective with a shameful past, a muddled present, and an uncertain future. While investigating a series of gruesome murders and trying to battle his alcoholism, Summers will try to reconnect with his young son. But when a break in the case puts his family at risk, it will be up to Summers alone to capture the mysterious killer. It will test the limits of his addiction, and make Summers decide how just far he will go to protect the person he loves.”
Kill Code (Book One) by Clive Fleury
Rating:
Synopsis: “WHEN THE OCEANS RISE…THE TRUTH DROWNS. It’s the year 2031. Our future. Their present. A world decimated by climate catastrophe, where the sun’s heat is deadly and the ocean rises higher every day. A world ruled by the rich, powerful, and corrupt. A world where a good man can’t survive for long …”
The Ghost of Crow Cavern by Norman Mounter & John Wedlake
Rating:
Synopsis: “A wave of delight and anticipation sweeps through a small community of red squirrels as they behold a vast fleet of boats carrying their distant cousins towards them. They will no doubt bring incredible wealth, wisdom and joy to the humble squirrels of Nutshaven. However, the dream soon becomes a nightmare. Their distant cousins soon turn out to be enormous and brutish bullies of an ever-expanding Grey Empire. Shadowtail – the brilliant but intensely evil Grey leader – announces that their lives are about to radically change …”
I think this is the MOST I’ve ever listed for favourite posts … there were just so many good ones! This isn’t even the entire list … but it was getting too long. Awesome month, everyone!

This is my favourite not only because it’s informative, but it’s HILARIOUS and so relatable! Seriously, I’m still “new” to the bookstagram world and it’s a tough world out there!! It takes FOREVER to get into the vibe … and I’m still looking for ways to improve. So this was too good … I was laughing so hard!
I did not request any NetGalley Books during April 2019.
Another month of not requesting — but THAT’S because I’m getting enough as it is right now … thinking I will after the summer ha-ha!
Weeeeeeeeell …
There weren’t many updates to be honest. The blog has been going well and I’ve been getting better at my Instagram game! I’ll be re-posting some older pictures on my Instagram since I found a theme that I really love … the originals were nice but I want the pictures more bright and colourful!
Next month, I might add a “beyond Bookmark Your Thoughts” section — updates on my personal life and what not. I’ve seen some people do this and I think it looks kinda cool! Thoughts?
You’ve had a very busy time! (with all the Marvel movies.) Ahaha, how did you even do that?!
I’ve been focused so much on the new episodes of Game of Thrones that I didn’t even remember about the End Game coming out in April! Still need to watch it (another thing to add to my To-Do list) 😀
And another important question – How were you able to not request anything on NetGalley??
I think I’m addicted… I need to go to the website at least once a day and try very very hard to not click all the “Request” and “Wish for it” buttons I see.

Oh … I planned SUPER well for it. I started RIGHT at the beginning of April … unfortunately, this means I didn’t get to much reading … and I didn’t complete the O.W.Ls challenge 😦
I stopped watching GoT a long time ago but I think I might start up again … I hear there’s a good focus on Arya … so I’m happy to see that ha-ha!
LMAO! I swore to myself that I wouldn’t request any until I finished all my current ARCs and when I read a few books that I already own 😉

Massive kudos to you on watching all the Marvel movies before Endgame! I watched Infinity War on Saturday night to remind myself and saw Endgame last night. I did really like it and thought it was a fitting way to say goodbye to the franchise as is before the next phase. It didn’t go entirely as I expected though!

Thanks!! I don’t know if I should be proud of that feat … but I am ha-ha!
It didn’t for me either! There was one comic stream I thought they were going to go by, but they didn’t. It was a good ending … but is it sad that I’m still emotionally distraught!?!?

Not at all, I thought they knew exactly how to hit the right traumatic and sad notes!

I totally agree … ugh … it’s been almost a week and I’m STILL upset lol! Oh my goodness … my friends kept laughing (but felt bad) at me because I cried twice in theaters (sobbed), then when we left … and THEN on a ride home … WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!

I’m a massive crier at everything so don’t you worry 😉 I’ll probably cry again when I watch it again!

I’m not alone!!!!!!!!!!!!! And me too … and then I’m like, why do I do this to myself??!

I think the Spider Man movie is supposed to have some tear jerky bits to it as well – just to warn you if you watch it!

Yup … I’ve heard that too … UGH!

Wow, that’s a commitment right there to watch all the Marvel films! Last year I watched all the films I hadn’t seen before seeing Infinity War, and I thought that was tough, and that was only maybe 10 films 😛 I’m glad you enjoyed End Game, I’ve yet to see it, I’m hoping soon! 😀
It looks like you had a pretty good month! 🙂

Ha-ha! Thanks … as I said in a different comment to someone else, I don’t know if it’s something I should be proud of … but whatever! 😛
I think you’ll enjoy it — you’ll have to let me know when you’ve seen it though 😀

Hey, I’d be proud of it. That’s one accomplishment!
Thanks, I will! 😀

Lol!! No, no. Just a four star and some three stars. I have an empty tea cup I use! It has been confusing people though … so i think I’m going to get rid of it ha-ha!!
And of course! I love that post! I want to do it as a weekly random post because I thought it was so cool 🙂

D’you know, I thought some looked different to others 😂 I was on my desktop so the colours were faint, I can see it better on mobile 🙈

LMFAO!! Hey, you aren’t the only one to comment on this! I haven’t fully decided yet … might test it out with future posts. I think I will definitely do it for the monthly reviews since the teacups are so small!😂

It seems like you had a really great month in April, even if you felt it was a bit slow on reading and such. Also, I did not watch all the Marvel films in anticipation of Endgame, but we did marathon them all last year before Infinity War. That is some nice dedication to the MCU, right there. We might do another re-watch of them all after Endgame is out on DVD.

Awe! Thank you! It wasn’t my best, but I still have 8 months of 2019 to catch up!
Oh End Game … still torn about that. It’s good! Just … again, can’t talk about it yet lol! I’m basically giving people a 2 week to month grace period before I start talking about it on the internet or with friends in public lol

Exactly. There is still 8 months in the year. You can do it
I will talk Endgame in private messaging. That is all. Until probably after the DVD release. Then it should be fair game, lol.

A rewatch of all the movies!? You Queen! Teach me your skills, Jenna! I actually went into Endgame, without having seen 3 of the movies! lol I did really enjoy it though! 💕
And I would love to see a personal updates section in these wrap ups!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAS! I had to!! It was a necessity! My skills are: coffee, sugar, a comfy blanket, comfy pj’s … and ignoring society. Which movies haven’t you seen? I actually hadn’t seen Spiderman or Ant-Man and the Wasp yet, so it was a great excuse to watch those!
Sounds good! I’m thinking I’ll add a section at the end next month and see how it goes. Thanks for your input! ❤
