Hello beautiful people!
A WHILE back, the lovely Tyr @ The Perks of Being a Nerd tagged me in the Quick Fire Book Tag … and I’m JUST getting to it now ha-ha! Thank you so much, Tyr! Please make sure to check out Tyr’s website … it’s full of wonderful book tags, reviews and more!
The Rules
↠ Thank the person who tagged you and link back to their post.
↠ Link to the creator’s blog (Jo @ The Bookworm Dreamer) in your post.
↠ Answer the prompts below – all fantasy books!
↠ Tag 5 others to take part.
↠ Enjoy!
One. 5 Star Book
The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman ↠ I’ve re-read this more times than I can count, and I STILL learn something new EVERY TIME! After her friends been kidnap, Lyra goes on an adventure to save him while discovery some world shaking realizations regarding her own world … and the other dimensions.
Two. Always going to recommend
Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling ↠ Come on … you HAD to know I was going to pick this one ha-ha! Harry Potter will ALWAYS be my number one recommendation. On his 11th birthday, young orphan Harry Potter discovers that he’s no ordinary child … but in fact, a wizard. Off to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry learns more about magic … and himself along the way, fighting evil and making friends along the way.
Three. Own it but haven’t read it
The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski ↠ A friend of mine bought me the two prequels since he’s played the videos games (which came after) and thought I would enjoy them. The Witcher is also going to be a Netflix show now … so I’d like to get to these soon! The basic premise is a sorcerer / hunter / assassin roams this fantasy world destroying demons and monsters … which sounds pretty epic to me!
Four. Would read again
Eragon by Christopher Paolini ↠ I fell in-love with this series, but started to grow tired of it during the third book … but I’ve always wanted to try and re-read the series again. After finding an egg in the forest, Eragon discovers it’s a dragons egg … a rarity after a ruthless ruler killed off all the dragon riders and their dragons known to man. Now running for his life, Eragon must learn not only how to be a dragon rider but now to save the world.
Five. In another world
Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong ↠ It’s been SUCH a long time since I’ve read this book … it’s SO good. It’s set in a magical land where two twins have been born with special abilities but are separated due to tragic events. They try to get back to one another in addition to saving the world from a greater evil.
Six. Back on Earth
Two Worlds of Provenance by Angelina J. Steffort ↠ I didn’t know what this meant … I THINK it’s supposed to mean a fantasy set on our Earth? So this one KIND of fits. It’s set in our world and a fantasy world, as the characters travel between the two dimensions. It was actually a rather enjoyable read!
The Nominees
There’s never any pressure, but here are my nominees!

↠ Lauren @ Narrative Paradise
↠ Gabby @ Boundless Pages
I was just about to look for a new tag! Perfect timing! Thank you for tagging me!
I didn’t know there was a book based on The Witcher (or vice-versa), but it looks good! Would read! Henry Cavill plays the lead in the Netflix show and, uh…I definitely have to watch it now.

I feel like we feed off of one another when it comes to tags ha-ha!! And you’re welcome!
YES!! The books ACTUALLY released way before the video games. The author apparently doesn’t care for the video game version ha-ha! But oh well. I can’t wait to finally start to read them! I’ve heard they’re fantastic!
Uhhhh yes … he’s so beautiful to look at …

The Golden Compass was such a good book! 😀
I agree, Harry Potter is such a beloved book! 🙂
You should totally re-read Eragon! Great series, I’m sorry you got bored with it though, maybe when you do re-read it, it won’t be so dull!

Of course! 😀 I loved The Golden Compass. I’m going to re-read it again one day. I really want to try re-reading Eragon. I fell in love with it at first, but grew bored during Brisngr (don’t know how to spell it ha-ha)

This is such a cute and fun tag! Love your answers! So, the Golden Compass has been one of “those books” that I told my middle-school self that I would read … and then never did. Oops. Eragon falls onto that list as well, but after purchasing the paperback for it, I’m determined to pick it up! Haha!

Thank you, darlin’! People create such adorable tags! Oooo … definitely recommend it, love. It’s epic … and even though it’s “considered” middle grade … it totally isn’t. The content and vibe is definitely more adult like.
I really need to try re-reading that series … one day!
