October 2019 || Monthly Wrap Up

Hello beautiful people!

Well … I feel like I need to apologize ha-ha! I’ve honestly been really inactive this month … most of my posts were scheduled way in advance. I’VE MISSED YOU ALL! Fall is that ONE time of year that I tend to be outside … a lot … so this blog takes a bit of a break. I will TRY to be more active next month though!

So I didn’t post pictures of all the books I read and reviewed this time, so I’m just using Goodreads this time around!

Two Worlds of Oblivion (Book #2) by Angelina J. Steffort

With the magic that is the fall weather here in Canada, I wasn’t able to look at all your beautiful posts as much this month. But there are a few that really stuck out that I think are DEFINITELY worth sharing!

Other than the fact that I disappeared … not much! I have quite a few buddy reads coming up, which I’m SUPER excited for! I’ve been WAY more active on Instagram lately, which is prooooobably why I also disappeared … but it’s been a lot of fun. If you have a Bookstagram, please let me know so I can befriend you!

One thing I’m really contemplating is whether I want to continue using trigger and content warnings. After reading the orangutan librarian’s post (see under Favourite Posts), I decided to do my own research … and now I wonder if there’s really a NEED to do this. I’m curious … what are your thoughts on trigger and content warnings?

Also … I’m sad to say this (but not really ha-ha) … but I’m deleting my Twitter account. I never use it … at all … which makes me feel bad since many of you message me on it and tag me … but then I disappear. It’s just overwhelming. I’ll still have Goodreads, Instagram and Tumblr but that’s about it. Also, my Tumblr will ONLY have my bullet journal and book review posts … in addition to my own things I like to re-pin as this is also my personal account.

OCTOBER HAS BEEN EPIC!!!! I LOVE THIS MONTH SO MUCH! My mom and I went to the spa … where I took a really pretty bookstagram photo ha-ha! We also (with my dad) went for a brunch buffet for Thanksgiving, which was lovely! Jalayna, my travelling buddy and partner in crime, and I did some fall hiking and Halloween activities … such as this really cool thing called Pumpkin Inferno at Upper Canada Village!! Oh! I also saw Joker … SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! I was NOT expecting to love it as much as I did. MIND-BLOWING performance.

I don’t tend to do the whole “photos of my life” thing, but this month was way too much fun to NOT illustrate! So here are a few (mostly from my personal account)!

The general consensus last month was that you WOULD be interested in some lifestyle posts. Soooooo … I will be starting that soon (ish). I just REALLY want to figure out what to post. I’ll probably start with how I organize my desk space and stuff, since that relate to my bullet journal posts. Other than that, just shoot me some ideas if you have any!

  1. So happy you had such a great month, even if blogging was on the backburner! Sometimes that has to happen to keep the mental health in check 🙂 I’ve been meaning to start the Charlotte Holmes series for a while, maybe next year will finally be the year I knock some of them out!

  2. It looks like October was a pretty good month overall, and when the weather is so pretty, it’s hard to stay indoors and keep up with blog items. And fall is so incredible but so fleeting, so you must go enjoy! Your picture was stunning too. Thank you so much for including my post, Jenna!! Wonderful post, and have a good November! 🙂

  3. Hi!! I hope you had a lovely time exploring the “outside world” 😀 Autumn is the most beautiful time of the year, in my opinion. Sadly, we don’t get any season changes here, it’s either summer heat or colder and rainy days, but no brown leaves or anything like that…
When I was little, I used to hate wearing a beanie and would take it off the moment I stepped outside. But now I actually miss colder weather, beanies, gloves.. all the cozy things. Lol

This morning I finally took some bookish pictures! The first time in three months :O I’m obsessed with yellow, can’t wait to share my new obsession on Insta, ahah
