My Favourite 2019 Blogging Moments Tag || Tags & Awards

Hello beautiful people!

What a great tag to do for the new year! I didn’t really do a reflective post on 2019, so being tagged in this is PERFECT! Thank you Sumedha @ The Wordy Habitat for tagging me in this Blogging Moments tag!

Sumedha has a wonderful blog, full of really fun and interesting post ideas! In addition, she’s very kind and polite — a great person to have in our lovely and cozy community! Please make sure to visit her blog!

The Rules

↠ All the answers must be about your blog posts.
↠ Please link the original creator of the tag so they can see all your posts!
↠ You don’t have to provide just one post for each question, you can provide as many as you want so long as they were written in 2019.
↠ If you haven’t written a post that matches one of the questions, choose one that relates to it as close as possible.
↠ Tag 5+ bloggers to they can share their accomplishments too! And make sure you read the posts they share!

One. What’s your favourite book review?

Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott ↠ I’m extremely happy I finally picked up and reviewed this book this year. I don’t know if it’s one of my best reviews, but I’m glad this novel provided me the opportunity to learn more about Cystic Fibrosis (CF). After YouTuber Claire Wineland passed away after a surgery to help with her CF, it became really hard to have the desire to pick this book up. But I really wanted people to not only know her story, but the story of all those who are diagnosed with CF.

“I’m tired of living without really living.”

Two. What’s your favourite discussion post?

Books I Wish I Could Read Again for the First Time || Discussion

Discussion posts are something I REALLY want to start writing more of in 2020 … since I don’t tend to post these at all. I always consider it, but I tend to just not have a lot of great discussion post ideas ha-ha! But I’m working on that!

This discussion post was actually an idea from Zuky @ BookBum, where she discussed some books that she’d love to be able to read again for the first time. It was fun looking back and seeing books that I still love, even though it’s been YEARS!

Three. What’s your favourite fun post?

i.e. a post that doesn’t fall under a particular category like reviews, discussions or tags do.

O.W.Ls Read-a-Thon 2019 || Challenge

I don’t really know what this means, since all my posts fall under some sort of category ha-ha! Alex @ Whimsy Pages and I really got into the O.W.Ls Read-a-Thon this year, which is hosted by YouTuber Book Roast! Honestly, I wish I had discovered this before, so I KNOW I will be participating again in 2020! It’s a challenge that you can either make easier or more difficult, and allows you to push yourself to get more reading done!

Four. What’s your favourite book recommendation post?

I’m not gonna lie, I don’t really do book recommendation posts ha-ha! That’s something I would like to start doing more in 2020, though I have no idea where to begin ha-ha!

Five. What’s your favourite book/bookish photo?

So … 2019 was the year I really wanted to focus more on my Bookstagram game … and I feel like I’m finally getting somewhere! There’s still quite a bit of room for me to grow, but that’s the fun of it! I couldn’t choose between the following three photos, so I’m using them all ha-ha

Six. What’s your favourite original idea/blog post?

How To: Buddy Reads || Buddy Read Discussions

Okay … I didn’t really CREATE this, since they’ve been going on for as long as reading has been around most likely ha-ha! But after one or two buddy reads this year, I decided to create a series regarding the concept of buddy reads! I’m trying to participate in more and more of these, since they really push me to read and engage with the community more! Here’s to more buddy reads in 2020!

If you would like to participate in a buddy read with me, feel free to email me through my contact page!

Seven. What’s your absolute favourite blog post you wrote this year?

Bullet Journal November 2019 || Plan with Me

Not only was this one of my TOP Instagram photos in 2019, but it was a blast to share with you all on my blog! So many of you have really enjoyed my bullet journal posts this year, which I’m so grateful for! I feel as though I gained a lot more experience with bullet journals in 2019 … and it’s honestly thanks to you all for encouraging me to continue on with it!

I REALLY want to focus more on bullet journal posts in 2020, so feel free to drop some ideas in the comments!

Eight. Have you reached any blogging achievements this year?

Though I wanted to be more active in the later half of the year, I feel as though this was a pretty good year!

Tag! You’re it!

There are quite a number of you who have already done a “my year in review” type post, so I’m not tagging anyone. But please feel free to give this a go!

  2. Congrats on 1k both for your blog and your Instagram, Jenna!! I always love seeing your bookstagram photos, they’re so gorgeous 💖 And I know I haven’t been super active lately, but from what I remember, I LOVED your bullet journal posts 💕

If you need some help with book rec lists, I’d definitely recommend going with a theme of some sort!! For example, I always love rec’ing LGBTQIAP+ books during Pride Month, and I also know some people do things like “books to read during x season”!

I hope 2020 has treated you well so far!! 💝

  3. This tag is amazing! I’m saving it for later.

Oh, Five Feet Apart! I haven’t read the book, but we watched the movie last year and it was ❤

And omg, OWLs and NEWTs were so much fun! Even if we don't manage to participate in April, we still need to do it in 2020!

2019 was a great year for you! I'm so happy that you achieved so much, you deserve all of that and so much more. I hope 2020 will be even better, with many happy moments ❤

    1. Oh yay! You should DEFINITELY do it!

The books so lovely! I haven’t watched the movie because I got SO emotional with the book that I couldn’t handle it ha-ha!

WE MUST! I actually want to wait until May … my April is SUPER busy already … so I’m going to start either in May or June (or halfway through May).

And it was! I had a blast! You’re such a sweetheart! I’m so glad we connected more in 2019! I’ve had so much fun talking with you about bookish things and all the other fun shenanigans! Here’s to 2020!!
