Hello beautiful people!
A couple weeks back, Rebecca @ Bookishly Rebecca tagged me in this adorable Lover Book Tag. I think the title is Taylor Swift inspired? Don’t quote me on that.
At any rate, PLEASE make sure to visit Rebecca’s page! Not only is she a delightful human being, but she has an EPIC BLOG! Her posts always feel so authentic and genuine — and she always provides either a good chuckle with her GIF game or some good “fruit for thought” moments with her posts. Thank again for tagging me and being an epic person, Rebecca!

I Forgot That You Existed
A book from your childhood that you don’t remember anything about
You see, the problem with this question is that I can’t remember the books that I don’t remember anything about … OHMYGOSH!
Cruel Summer
The worst book you’ve read this summer

Prince Charming by Rachel Hawkins
Okay … I’m not saying this is a bad book, but it’s actually one of my lowest rated ones from the summer of 2019. Surprisingly enough, I had a pretty good “summer reading” list going on! Though there are parts that REALLY annoyed me about this novel, it was overall a fun and cute story for the warm season!
Lover
A bookish relationship that’s perfect exactly the way it is
I’m going to be THAT person and say … none?! Honestly, I can’t think of ONE relationship where it’s PERFECT EXACTLY the way it is … there’s always room to grow! And a lot of books I read don’t have definite endings, so the characters tend to still be exploring how they feel and what they want when I finish the novel. So yea … I’m saying I have NO idea …
The Man
A book with a badass female main character

Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller
OH MY GOSH!!!!! Alosa’s a flippin’ AMAZING female lead! She’s not only the captain of her own ship with a crew that respects her, but she’s also intelligent and an amazing fighter. She doesn’t need to rely on someone else to protect her, and she will do anything to protect her crew. She’s epic … just sayin’.
The Archer
A book with great character development

If I’m Being Honest by Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka
I’m copying Rebecca and I don’t care … Cameron’s character development in this novel is absolutely incredible — it’s one of the main reasons I ADORE this novel! She really grows as a person, learning more about herself and becoming a stronger and better person by the end of the story. I HIGHLY recommend this book if you LOVE character development … and just in general, because it’s amazing.
I Think He Knows
Your fictional crush
*sigh* … I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again … I don’t really get crushes on characters … I’m already shipping them for other characters! There are characters who’s traits I’d love in a partner, but I don’t have a crush on them … I don’t know if that’s weird or not, but oh well.
Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince
A book set in high school
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before series by Jenny Han
This series is BASED entirely on teenagers discovering who they are during their high school years! From friendship changes to learning about love, Han’s novel explores a lot of the ups and downs of high school life. It’s actually a more realistic version of high school life in my opinion, which I really like and respect.

Paper Rings
A book with a happy ending
Love & Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch
Though there are a FEW things that bothered me about how the characters get their happy endings … this book still did end well and lovely. The main character, Lina, finds a lot of the things she was missing in life, things she thought she’d never get back. And she learns quite a bit of important life lessons near the end of the story.

Cornelia Street
A setting you’ll never forget
I’m going to be VERY stereotypical and say the world of Harry Potter — but seriously, I loved the world and school so much that I would DREAM constantly about it all being real and me receiving my own Hogwarts Letter … let’s be real … I’m STILL waiting.
Death By A Thousand Cuts
A book that broke your heart

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
One of my automatic go-to ones for this kind of question. Seriously, this book was so sad and so heart-wrenching. I just felt so much more Starr and all the people in her situation. What’s even worse is the racism and prejudice in this novel ACTUALLY happens in the real world … it’s so upsetting and frustrating …
London Boy
A setting that plays a big role in the story

The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow
Honestly, the entire book’s about the main character (and characters from her past) travelling to multiple worlds. And in each of these worlds, there are very specific details for each that make them all unique and special. So the settings play a PRETTY big role for the overall story …
Soon You’ll Get Better
A book that made you cry
Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott
I swear, I think I use this book 80% of the time I’m asked this question … but it’s so sad! Honestly, I don’t even know how much tissue I went through — thank GOSH I read most of this at home and NOT in public. It’s a beautiful story with so many wonderful and important messages, but it’s NOT an easy read (at least for me it wasn’t).

False God
A book with a well-written sexy scene
… I don’t know … I’m sure there’s a few that I’ve read and I’m just too tired to think of one (I’m writing this after French training, so my brain isn’t fully functioning at the moment ha-ha).
You Need to Calm Down
A book featuring an LGBT romance

Autoboyography by Christina Lauren
This novel … OH MY GOSH! I wish I could read it for the first time all over again! There’s so many beautiful moments in this novel … I can’t even! But I love how the LGBT element isn’t just about the romance — it’s about learning to love yourself for who you are, while educating society at the same time. It’s an absolutely wonderful story … TOTALLY recommend.
Afterglow
A great second chance romance
Oh my goodness … I feel like I’m saying “I don’t know” for a lot of these … but I really don’t! There are books I’ve read with these “second chance romances”, but a lot of the time I’m not happy that they got back together … so I guess none of them count for me ha-ha!
Me!
Your all-time favorite book
Seriously, this shouldn’t be a question you’re allowed to ask a bookworm … WE READ SO MUCH! Like the broken record that I am, I’m going with The Outsiders … this book LITERALLY changed me. When I first read this novella, it was at a time when I really resonated with it and needed it — which is probably why it holds such a special place in my heart.

It’s Nice To Have A Friend
Your favorite friends-to-lovers book

Oseman’s graphic novel series is so adorable!!! I love the connection the two main characters have. From friends to something more, seeing their relationship blossom over time is simply astounding. I NEED MORE VOLUMES TO RELEASE SO I CAN READ MORE ABOUT THEM BEING ADORABLE AND CUTE!
Daylight
A book with a positive message
100 Days of Sunlight by Abbie Emmons
OH MY GOODNESS!!! THIS BOOK! I was lucky enough to receive this on NetGalley last year, and it was WAY better than I was expecting. This book is FULL of positive messages: loving someone for who they are and not their appearance, learning to find hope and beauty in life when it seems dark and scary, overcoming fears, and finding faith in the people around you.

Tag! You’re it!
WOW! That was a long tag! I’m sorry for kind of half ***ing some of those answers … note to self, don’t try to work on blog posts when you just finished French training and your brain is done. At any rate, here are some peeps I’m tagging!

↠ Way Too Fantasy

Another Lover tag!? 😱 How exciting! (Yes, this tag is based on a Taylor Swift album.)
I don’t blame you for not answering some of these – this is a long tag. Also, the False God prompt is difficult. The pressure!
Very fun post! I hope life lets up for you soon!
