The Sunshine Blogger Award Number Eleven || Tags & Awards

Hello beautiful people!

… I don’t even know what to say at this point … it might sound REALLY silly, but seeing people nominate one another lifts my spirits — and being nominated now 11 times makes me feel like I’m actually doing something right with this blog ha-ha.

So thank you so much for the nomination, Lauren @ Narrative Paradise, for making my day! Lauren is honestly one of the funniest and genuinely nicest human beings in the blogging community — and probably just in general, to be frank! She’s so loving and accepting, it makes me really happy that her and I have been interacting more! Not only is she amazing, but her blog is epic! She talks about SO MANY THINGS — HOW DO YOU HAVE THE TIME?! So PLEASE make sure you visit her site if you haven’t yet … you REALLY won’t regret it!

What is the Sunshine Blogger Award?

The Sunshine Blogger Award is given to those who are creative, positive and inspiring while spreading sunshine to the blogging community.

The Rules

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to their blog.
  2. Answer the 11 questions the blogger asked you.
  3. Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
  4. List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award in your post/or on your blog.

One. Describe your ideal book that hasn’t been written yet

The problem is … it couldn’t been written and I just don’t know it yet ha-ha! I really love bromance, so I guess like a good urban fantasy (i.e. supernatural, fae and folklore) that follows to best friends solving things together … with little to no romance …

If there’s a book like this … PLEASE TELL ME!

Two. What’s your zodiac sign? Do you feel it fits your actual personality?

Okay … so technically, I’m an Aries. But according to my friend (who’s really into astrology and such), I’m a cusp baby … so I’m a Pisces / Aries.

I feel like this suits me more. Like an Aries, I’m stubborn and cheerful and passionate … but I’m not a confident leader and I am not a fully extroverted person. Like a Pisces, I’m positive-natured and sensitive and (apparently) very likable … but I’m not AS introverted as a lot of Pisces are … I’m a bit of both.

Three. What are your feelings on glitter?

Oh my gosh … these questions … I can’t even ha-ha! Okay … I do love glitter … but in hindsight, I can’t STAND how messy it is and how hard it is to get off … I actually donated ALL my Christmas decor with glitter because I was tired of trying to clean it all up … which is, in fact, IMPOSSIBLE!

Four. What do you tend to prioritize most in your life? (e.g., family, mental health, financial stability, etc.)

Hmmmm … what I SHOULD prioritize is mental health … I’m working on that. I guess balance? I love SO many things … I literally have the widest array of interests. So I try to prioritize NOT prioritizing one or two things … I want to balance it all out. One thing I really do try to prioritize is my connection with my friends and family, since I’m REALLY bad at texting (sometimes).

I also try to prioritize time with nature and exploration … it’s kind of therapeutic for me, so I really like doing that quite often.

Five. Would you rather sit in traffic or take a longer route?

ROAD TRIP! Longer route, baby! Seriously, my two girlfriends and I decided to take the “long” way after we found out one of the highways had 3 major accidents on it. We ended up discovering all of these cute little towns, and even stopped at this random ice cream stop! It was so much fun!

Six. If you had a chance to go to an awards show, would you? Why or why not?

Hmmm … probably not, since I don’t even watch them now. Obviously, I think it’s great to celebrate peoples’ achievements, but I just don’t see the point in attending one?

Seven. You’re at the awards show and you’ve smuggled some food in your purse. What kind of food is it?

OREOS!!!!!!!!!!! NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!!! I have a severe addiction to Oreo’s … if the box is bought, I know I will end up eating them all in about two days … which is why I only buy them once a month or every other month …

They’re just so magical and wonderful and taste so good … and apparently, they’re vegan … so my tummy loves them!

Eight. What kind of hat fits your personality best?

I don’t really know if it suits my personality, but beanies? I LOVE beanies! They’re stylish AND they keep your head warm! I’m kind of an addict towards buying copious amounts of beanies that I don’t need.

Nine. Have you ever wanted a fictional character’s outfit for yourself? (As seen in a movie/show, on a book cover, described on a page, etc.)

Hmmm … Not that I’m aware of? Oh! I actually do love Katniss’s scarf in the second film, but I don’t think that’s from the book haha!

Ten. Does your favorite type of fictional ending (happy, bittersweet, or dark) match your favorite type of chocolate (white, milk, or dark)?

Actually … I guess it wouldn’t? My favourite type of chocolate is dark chocolate mint … so a dark/cold ending? But I’m a sucker for a good ol’ happy ending, like the sap that I am!

Eleven. Do you eat a special type of food when you’re sick? If yes, what kind?

SOUP AND TOAST! Honestly, there’s just something so comforting about soup and toast. And my stomach is SO picky whether I’m sick or not, so that’s usually a safe choice for me ha-ha!

Tag! You’re it!

  2. these questions are so good — i love that question about chocolate and endings, so creative! i’m also a soup eater when i’m sick; usually chicken noodle soup but a lot less salty than what you’d find at a restaurant haha. and your ideal book sounds SO good! i feel like i’ve read a book like that, but i can’t for the life of me think of what the title might be. i really do love urban fantasy and strong friendships though!!

  3. Thank you for nominating me, Jenna 😭😭 (And just to make sure—your questions are Lauren’s right? ❤)
OMG oreos!! i can’t believe that i used to think they were overrated when I was younger:( they’re so GOOD. I hate glitter, haha. It’s pretty sometimes, but it gets *everywhere*, and it’s nearly impossible to clean up. Also, a few years ago, a teacher of mine mentioned that it’s cancerous, and I’ve been scared of the stuff every since, haha!

  4. Ah this is such a lovely post, I loved reading your answers to these fun questions so much! Ughhh I get you about glitter, it’s fun for a minute, but when you have to clean it all up…. it’s so damn frustrating hahaha. 🙂

  5. Aw, so your birthday is soon?! Yaaaaaay!
When reading descriptions about my sign (Taurus) some characteristics really represent me, but others not so much. It’s always a hit or miss with these things. Lol

I feel the same about glitter, lol. It’s just not practical, everything with glitter needs to go! 😀

I wouldn’t attend award shows either, I much prefer watching them from the comfort of my home in pjs. Ahaha

Soup! Yes! I think everything needs to eat soup with sick or ill. (and even when not sick. Lol. I just love soup…) 😀

  6. Wow, this was a fun mostly not book related set of questions, which was really cool. I always like getting to know people when it comes to interests outside of books–though I’m still game to talk and hear about books all the time too. Great answers.

  7. Omg these questions are so unique, I love them! I’M AN ARIES BABY TOO!!! But I don’t really relate to a lot of the typical Aries personality traits hahaha 😂 Also, I’m such a creature of habit that I would totally sit in traffic rather than take a longer route – I just pop on some Taylor Swift, or a good audiobook & I’m good to go 😂 Sometimes I even mediate during traffic hahaha 😛

  8. This was fun to read 🙂 I love glitter, mess be damned, but it turns out it’s as bad for the environment as microplastics so I guess it’s time to find an environmentally friendly version or give it up. I think old Christmas decorations would use epsom salt for a more subtle glitter effect (I could be wrong).
