Dreamy Book Covers Tag || Tags & Awards

Hello beautiful people!

ANOTHER BOOK TAG! SO MUCH YES! Thank you so all the people who know my love of books tags — it’s like this is a well known fact for something ha-ha!

Thank you so much Siren @ Sweaters & Raindrops for tagging me! This was actually quite fun, since I’m definitely a book cover snob — hey, it helps with the financials, so it’s not ALL bad. Siren has a lovely account, one I really enjoy! So please make sure to visit this lovely human beings blog!

The Creator & the Rules

The creators of this tag is Tiana @ The Book Raven! The rules are …

↠ Thank the lovely person who tagged you, spread the love!
↠ Mention Tiana @ The Book Raven as the lovely creator of this book tag!
↠ Use the original tag image in your post. (However, Feel free to add whatever other graphics your heart desires!)
↠ At least tag 1 fellow blogger for this tag. Even if your like me sometimes and feel a bit lazy 😉
↠ List the rules.

No Ideas But in Things

A book cover that perfectly expresses the novel inside it

A Collection of Light by Neeme ↠ Back in February, I received a physical copy from the author to review — and it’s such a beautiful collection! Even with the heavier topics, Neeme shows how to still find happiness and light in a darkened world. It’s hard to tell, but the cover actually has little sparkle specks that appear in the light — really reflecting the poetry in this collection. I VERY much recommend this!

Dark and Lovely

A book cover that is so creepalicious you just want to eat it up

Coraline by Neil Gaiman ↠ There are a lot of different versions of Gaiman’s Coraline cover wise — but I think this is one of my favourites. It REALLY showcases how creepy the content is — and I kind of like how small her eyes look, as though she already doesn’t have any — which is great symbolism with the story itself.

Sugary Sweet

A cute cover that is so fluffy you want to give it a hug

Time of Our Lives by Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broke ↠ I am SO excited for this novel — OH MY GOSH! What’s even better though is how the covers for Wibberley and Siegemund-Broka’s novels are always so aesthetically pleasing and super adorable. BUT LOOK AT THIS!! THE FEELS! I really love it!

The Simple Aesthetic

A book cover that stuns with the most minimalistic of design

The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker ↠ I’m not gonna lie … I bought this because of the cover. LUCKILY, everyone seems to really love this novel — so I feel as though this was a successful ‘compulsive book purchase’! And I already KNOW I’m going to buy that sequel — IT’S BEAUTIFUL!!! And I’m sure it’s a great story — so it’s all good!

Cover Envy

A book cover you wish you had on your shelves, but don’t yet

Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin ↠ Umm … who WOULDN’T want this book on their shelves?! I’m also a SUCKER for a good gold and black themed cover, so this one always catches by eye at the book store. I DO plan to buy it eventually either way — BUT I WANT IT NOW!

Traveling Abroad

A beautiful book cover featuring a country outside of your own

Wild at Heart by K.A. Tucker ↠ I know that a PART of the book takes place in Toronto, which is in Canada — but I’m fairly certain this is supposed to be a picture of Alaska, which it a state in the United States … so it counts! OH MY GOSH! THIS COVER! Those deep reads and the light blues — absolutely in-love with it!

The Color Wheel

A cover that showcases one of your favorite colors

The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw ↠ Technically, I have a few favourite colours depending on the context. In general though, I’ve always loved blue … probably from my love of water and the deep blue sky. But this cover — it’s absolutely stunning! I also love anything with the moon and night sky, so that’s an added bonus.

Switching Gears

A cover change you absolutely adore

Anna and the French Kiss trilogy by Stephanie Perkins ↠ Honestly, these covers are SO much better … they actually make me want to buy them so I can have them as pretty decor for my bookshelves! Those colours with the cities the books are set in as a silhouetted background for the covers? LOVE!

Oldie but Goodie

A favorite cover of your favorite classic

Winnie-the-Pooh by A.A. Milne ↠ I absolutely adore this children’s novel — there’s just something about that silly ol’ bear that makes me so happy! Though I used to have this one, I gave it to a close friend as a special gift. The edition I have is still absolutely beautiful — but I love the brightness and warmth of this one … it’s just so inviting.

And the Winner is…

Which book cover mentioned above is your favorite?

  3. Omg yes, the cover changes for the Anna & the French Kiss series is probs one of the only ones that I think was an improvement/necessary! The original covers were so cringeworthy hahaha 😂
