Top 5 Series I Want to Start || Top 5 Tuesday

Hello beautiful people!

Yes … I’ve finally decided to become part of the Top 5 Tuesday community! I’ve been meaning to for a while but I was getting tagged in so many book tags, I honestly didn’t have time. With book tags slowing down a bit, I figured it’s time to give this a shot!

The Top 5 Tuesday meme is hosted by Shanah @ Bionic Book Worm, an amazing blogger — WHO I JUST DISCOVERED IS ALSO FROM CANADA (seriously, I love you all — but I love knowing more Canadian bloggers like me are out there)! Check out her blog for more information on how to participate!

This weeks prompt is: Top 5 Series I Want to Start. There are A LOT I want to start … so this was easy to fill but hard to choose which ones to post ha-ha! If you know of any other series I should read, let me know in the comments!

The Witcher Series by Andrzej Sapkowski

Now this takes me back! I remember watching my friends play the videos games and I just LOVED the story (totally planning to buy Witcher 3 for PlayStation 4). The Netflix show was really good — but it left a lot of unanswered questions — which I’ve been told are explained further in the series … this may be a binge read series.

The Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss

… there are some that have SERIOUSLY questioned how I have not picked this series up yet. Technically, I have the first two books. But with a third book looking like it’s NEVER going to release, I’m too nervous to read a FANTASTIC series to be disappointed with no third book. So until there’s a legit release date … I can’t start it … as much as I want to.

Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco

Technically, I’ve already started this series — but I kind of put it on hold last month or so. So I’d like to no only start up again, but I really want to finish it. It’s a really interesting series, and it’s WAY creepier than I was expecting it to be! I also love the Holmes and Watson vibe going on but with a twist and still unique!

The Folk of the Air by Holly Black

Oh my gosh … all the books of this series are FINALLY OUT! Seriously, I’ve only held off with this series because I have a funny feeling I’m going to BINGE IT and I didn’t want to have to wait for the next books to release. It’s books with the fae in it … I’m obviously going to absolutely adore this series. And a lot of people seem to really like it!

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

… I feel like I’m the only one who hasn’t started this series … alone in this book blogging community … but the time has come to FINALLY be apart of the book readers who have read these books! Seriously … once my book buying ban has been lifted (which I think it June), I’m buying the first book and getting started!

      1. I’m good! It’s been a wild few months. Thanks for asking. My husband and I are both working from home during COVID, so it’s been a series of adjustments. And I hear you – My husband hates that feeling! How are you doing? Sending love and hugs!

      2. I’m glad you are both doing well! My partner and I are both working from home too. He’s been rather busy but we’re both doing good. It was a hard adjustment at first, but I feel a lot more comfortable with the change now — just had to get used to it ha-ha! Sending lots of love and hugs back!

  1. The Folk of the Air trilogy is VERY bingeable – those books are like popcorn, I hope you enjoy them. 😀 One day I need to try The Name of the Wind, too, and I’m interested in trying The Witcher novels after watching the Netflix show.

    1. From what I’ve heard, the series gets better as you go … so HOPEFULLY that’s the case! I feel you! At first, I wasn’t really sure if I wanted to give it a go … but now I need to read An Ember in the Ashes! Every seems to absolutely LOVE it! I’ve heard the first book is okay but the rest get way better.
