One of the biggest issues I have as a book reader … finding the time to read all the books I have and want to have. Seriously … it’s actually so stressful sometimes that I don’t end up reading for months because I can’t choose! I was scrolling through Instagram when I found someone posting about books they would love if they just read them, which made me really want to write my own post. Because let me tell you, there are a LOT of books I’d probably fall in love with if I FINALLY just read them!

Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco || Though I did enjoy her novel Stalking Jack the Ripper, I didn’t end up finishing the series. I just didn’t feel connected to the story, since I don’t do well with scary things that relate too much to real life. But I LOVED her writing. So now that I know she’s written a supernatural scary book, I’m SUPER EXCITED!
Internment by Samira Ahmed || I’m honestly so excited for this … but my emotions are terrified. I’ve heard great things about this book, but also have been told that it’s super heart-wrenching. I’m basically waiting for the right mindset.
Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo || This book sounds absolutely incredible and powerful and amazing. I’m truly so excited. Again … it’s the whole emotions thing again … *sigh*

Build Yourself a Boat by Camonghne Felix || I haven’t read poetry as much as I normally do this year … which I didn’t even realize until recently! I’ve had this on my shelf for a couple of months yet still haven’t opened it. I’m hoping to rectify that soon!
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen || I’m not going to lie, I haven’t read a SINGLE book by Austen. I’ve always wanted to but got really put off by it after reading so many other classics in school. I needed a LONG break … and then I simply forgot ha-ha!
Let’s Talk About Love by Claire Kann || Apparently, this is a really cute story! I also love the diversity in it (i.e. different ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientation, etc.)! I’ve just read so many romantic comedies this year that I’ve been needing a break — going to try some fantasy first!

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir || I honestly have no idea why I haven’t read this yet! I think I basically binged fantasy books a long time ago so much that I needed a break … a LONG break. So hopefully I can get to it sooner rather than later!
Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin || … WHY HAVE I NOT READ THIS!? There’s actually no excuse. I just literally have not gotten around to it. I’m planning to finish this before the end of 2020.
Bloody Rose by Nicholas Eames || I LOVED Eames’ Kings of the Wyld book, which is the prequel to this. I was lucky enough to receive a free copy … yet I still haven’t read this! Again … I think this was during the time I was reading SO MANY FANTASY BOOKS that I needed a break. I’ve been really feeling fantasy books lately, so I’m hoping to get into this one.

Discussion time!
This was actually so much fun! I’ve been really enjoying book discussions lately, so I’m hoping to get more into that! What books do you think you’ll fall in love with if you finally just read them? What do you think of my list?
The title of this made me laugh so much because it resonates a bit too much. I feel your pain! The list of things that I want to read, that I know I’ll probably never get around to reading, is insane. I really want to read Clap when you Land as well… maybe one day… Great post!
