Book Characters I’d Love to be Best Friends With

I’ve been REALLY enjoying these random book discussion ideas … especially since the comment feedback is amazing, and I ADORE reading your responses! My real-life friends are absolutely incredible, but there are definitely some fictional characters I’d love to mix into my friends circle! Here are six fictional characters I’d love to be friends with in real life!

Lara Jean in Jenny Han’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before series // LARA JEAN!!! AHHHHHHH! SHE’S TOO MUCH ADORABLENESS TO HANDLE! If she were real and we went to the same high school, we would’ve been best friends. I love her creativity and innocent nature (which was VERY MUCH me in high school). She has such fun hobbies, like her love of baking.

Chloe Brown in Talia Hibbert’s Get a Life, Chloe Brown // Why didn’t I read this sooner?! Chloe is, legit, the best person ever. She loves video games (I’m fairly certain she mentions a love of The Sims, which I swooned over), internet design, adorable fashion, and anything cozy! Her idea of FUN matches my own so much, and her personality just cracks me up!

Calla Fletcher in K.A. Tucker’s Wild series // Yes … Calla has a VERY strong personality. But I honestly think she’s super cool and loving at the end of the day. She loves interior design, which I’m obsessed with (missed job opportunity …), and she loves to blog on both a website and Instagram. Truly, I think she’d be an epic friend to have … especially in book two.

Chloe Saunders in Kelley Armstrong’s Darkest Powers series // Oh, Chloe … one of my first “I wish she was my friend in real life” fictional characters. She’s so sweet and precious! I love her obsession with films since I’m a movie person myself. And her reactions to scary and anxious situations are WAY TOO RELATABLE!

Cameron Bright in Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka’S If I’m Being Honest // To be honest, I wasn’t sure how I felt about Cameron when I first started this book. But after her character began to grow, I really started to love her. Her ambitious personality is admirable, and her slowly but surely accepting nature is fantastic. I love how she may not understand a lot of the “geeky” references and love of it as the other characters (and readers like myself) do, but she respects it and ends up enjoying herself. I think having someone with such a vibrant and ambitious personality would be a great friend!

Alice from Claire Kann’s Let’s Talk About Love // I LOVE ALICE WITH ALL OF MY HEART! She has such a beautiful vibe, even if she doesn’t think so. Her obsession with binging TV shows would make our hangouts absolutely incredible since I’m VERY similar in that regard. We are also not the best in the kitchen though … so Lara Jean will have to be our friend. AND she has a passion for interior design … so we could be interior designers together!

  4. Chloe Brown and Calla are two characters that sound like awesome friends and I’d definitely want to get my hands on some of Lara Jean’s baking. Now I just need to read the books haha.

    I’m totally with you on Chloe, she’d be fun to hangout with. I could totally play the Sims all day with her 😂
    As much as I love Lara Jean, I think I’d love to be bffs with Kitty – she was definitely my fave character from that series!

  6. I haven’t read any of the books on your list, but I will check them out. 🙂 I think I would love to be friends with Katy from the Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout. She loves books, but she is also sassy and tells it like it is.

  8. I’ve actually never read any of these books! They sound really interesting though. There are a lot of characters out there who I’d love to be friends with! I’d say I’d most like to be friends with Fie from The Merciful Crow, or maybe a character from Six of Crows? Not sure about that though, since all the SoC characters are so intense.
    Anyways, this is a super cool post!
